Brenda Calderón is a Senior Analyst at Building Impact. Previously, she was a LEE Policy Fellow at the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity, and Opportunity. While at the Connecticut General Assembly, she researched and wrote recommendations for the state legislature on how to implement bills promoting racial equity. Prior to her work in policy, Brenda was an AP Chemistry teacher in New Haven, CT, where she used research-backed instructional methods to mobilize her students to achieve their growth goals. Brenda is a graduate of Yale University with a B.S. in both Molecular Biology and the History of Public Health.
